Tree Planting

You won't even get your hands dirty...

We're all used to the idea of trees being turned into paper... but paper being turned back into trees? Why not! With TreeHouse, all you have to do is... well, nothing, because we do it all for you.

For every tonne of paper we collect for recycling, we donate 170 indigenous trees to projects for reforestation and the improvement of wildlife habitats. Depending on locations and ecosystems, a growing forest in Australia can sequester (or capture) between three and 35 tonnes of CO2 per hectare every year.*

As a TreeHouse customer, all you pay is your paper collection fee. We don’t charge to plant trees on your behalf because we’re passionate about reducing the impact of climate change through greening our landscapes. This also creates habitat for birds and animals, some of which are officially endangered. The greater the level of biodiversity, the better the health of our environment. Even our waterways improve.

As evidence of your own commitment to the environment, each quarter you'll receive a Trees In Action Summary. This tells you:

  • the weight of paper we have collected from your business
  • how many trees will be planted on your behalf
  • which species will be planted, where and why

You can even choose a specific TreeHouse planting project or, if your company already supports an environmental program, we can discuss the donation of your trees to that project.

Take a look at Our Customers and Partners for information on the Landcare accredited programs we currently support.
