Office Paper Recycling
Yes, it really does make a difference!
Sadly, only around 11 per cent of all office waste paper is recycled.* That means almost 90 per cent goes to landfill. And when paper ends up in landfill it contributes to the generation of greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane. Bad news!
But the good news is that TreeHouse is committed to changing this. Our unique waste paper collection system is designed to encourage your staff to recycle all office paper.
How? For starters, we provide you with sparkling clean, white TreeHouse paper collection bins. They’re distinctive, and they're positioned indoors making them easy and convenient to use. We also give you promotional material to remind and motivate your staff to recycle and increase the number of trees we donate for you each month.
Our clean, uniformed, well-presented staff arrive every fortnight (or more or less often if required), collect your paper for recycling and load it into gleaming biodiesel-powered VW vans. Your paper is then delivered to our secure plant and immediately shredded, ready for recycling. TreeHouse pick ups are made during the day, so we'll happily answer any questions your staff may have about the trees we’re planting on your behalf.
Your shredded paper is then sold to paper mills for recycling into tissue and paper products, and the revenue from this funds our tree donation program.
Plus we guarantee that your paper is recycled. You receive a quarterly Trees In Action Summary showing the weight of paper we've collected from you and how many trees we’ll plant on your behalf.
